There is more good than evil in this world, and when good men and women fight for what is right, evil will disappear into the darkness where it belongs.

Chad Nesbitt, an area gadfly, attacks Mountain Families’ heritage…

You just can’t make this up…

Chad Nesbitt posted the statements below on his local Facebook tabloid after the Republican Party did not nominate him for Chuck Edwards’ seat. Nesbitt’s statements attacked many families of the mountains of NC.

The Republican Party struggled to attract strong candidates for this race, as few were willing to risk their political careers. Consequently, the candidate pool consisted of individuals with limited appeal to voters in Western North Carolina.

Most Balkan constituents in Hendersonville, NC, are unfamiliar with the chosen replacement, Jennifer Balkcom, but they recognize the Ager Family for their support during Hurricane Helene. The Agers provided their business inventory to assist the community, motivated by a genuine commitment to the common good rather than personal recognition.

During these challenging times, Republican candidates, including Edwards, were less visible in providing direct support and focused instead on public appearances. Jamie Ager has demonstrated genuine commitment and will serve our district well. As a former Republican for forty-five years, I will be voting for him and for other Democratic candidates in my district this year.

In summary, the candidate pool was weak, and Nesbitt’s unethical character and continued actions- seen below exemplified this deficiency.

The bottom-of-the-barrel Republican candidates for Edwards’ seat…

The above was a jealous, shallow diatribe from someone at the puerile end of his own gene pool.

From the beloved Mr. Shunderson to Professor Elwell in the movie “People Will Talk,” it fits Pee Wee Nesbitt perfectly…

Chad Nesbitt, you’re a little man.

It’s not that you’re short. You’re little in mind and heart. When you posted this angry, vindictive blather, you tried to make a man little whose boots you couldn’t reach even if you stood on tiptoe atop the highest mountain in the world. In the end, you looked smaller than before.

Aren’t we all tired of the Republican Party using religious symbols and language to win votes while not living up to those values?

The Republican Party in 2026 is clearly centered around Donald Trump’s arrogant morality.

Madison County NC News

The debate over Flock cameras continues to intensify. Across Western North Carolina, residents are urging county commissioners to discontinue funding for Flock camera contracts in their communities.

The position of Madison County commissioners remains unclear. Republican Michael Garrison has attempted to prevent discussion of Flock cameras during county meetings.

A recent article from Texas has addressed Republican Commissioner Michael Garrison’s efforts to limit public discussion of Flock cameras in Madison County. The Fight Against Surveillance Cameras Is a Struggle for Democracy | Truthout

Michael Garrison has reached the Rubicon and is a living joke all the way down to the Lone Star State. Which is priceless

Republican Commissioner Jeremy Hensley has stated that the Madison County Commissioners cannot take action regarding Buddy Harwood and the Flock cameras. He maintains that the county cannot oversee the Sheriff’s actions.

Just to let you know my son is not the one that Coy pointed the gun at. He never worked with Coy.  Coy had been gone for a while before my son got hired. The sheriff is an elected official and he can hire who he wants the commissioner have no control over the sheriff office. We only approve his budget and that’s it. ’ll tell him to email you, as that’s the only way I know how to reach you. My understanding is that it was a detention officer that Coy pointed the gun at. My son is a deputy. Regarding the nepotism policy, we changed that policy about a year ago. The change had nothing to do with my son or Alan’s wife being hired. Approving the sheriff’s budget is just that—we approve the overall budget. We do not dictate or tell him how he spends it. He decides how to allocate his budget and sets the salaries for all of his employees. We have no say in what he pays them. The same is true with the Flock cameras. He purchased those, and we had no say in that decision. He is an elected official and is accountable to the people, just as we are. I can assure you that I have never called the sheriff about hiring my son or about what he pays him. My son handled all of that on his own. You may want to reconsider your informant. Hope you have a great weekend.

Folks, remember when I asked for the PRR of county salaries during the time when CoyPhillips was on the run; the county did everything they could to deny and delay me access to legal public records.
Why? Could it be because Mr. Hensley’s son is in the paperwork?

Under G.S. 153A‑77, a board of county commissioners may, by resolution, assume direct control of any commission, board, or agency including a sheriff’s department.

Don’t forget Mr. Hensley had no problem targeting the Health Department for the commissioners to assume direct control. Timing matters, and this was attempted during the Coy Phillips cover-up at the Sheriff’s Department.

Hensley cited liability, but it was actually due to his bigoted zealotry toward homosexuals who were hired and appointed by the Health Department.

The true Madison County liability is with the Madison County Sheriff’s Department, with whom Hensley’s son works. Buddy Harwood, Van Duncan, and Michael Garrison are all enthralled with the Coy Phillips scandal.

The commissioners can strip Buddy Harwood’s budget funding. Every month on the agenda, there is a budget amendment, always for the Madison County Sheriff Department. The commissioners can vote no. These commissioners don’t have to approve any budget amendments for Harwood, but hey, Hensley and the other Republicans do what Michael Garrison orders them to do…

Don’t forget Chad Nesbitt calls Buddy Harwood his best friend and helped his best friend cover up the Juvenile torture and rape at the Madison County Jail.

Hensley can’t rock the boat, which feeds his son.

That is why nepotism policies exist: to keep opportunistic elected officials like Jeremy Hensley and Alan Wyatt from scamming taxpayers for their families and friends.

Republican candidate for commissioner Jeremy Hensley and Michael Garrison exemplify “Hanlon’s Razor.” This principle says that when evaluating behavior, you should not assume malicious intent if a simpler explanation, like incompetence or ignorance, suffices.

These Republican Commissioners do not serve all of Madison County; they serve their friends in Mars Hill.

Do you trust Michael Garrison and Buddy Harwood, or their sheriff department bandits? Look below at the closed-session minutes from 2015 and 2016, where they ILLEGALLY, under Federal law, surveilled and listened in on private conversations at the County offices, including residents who called into Madison County administration offices.

What makes you think you can have faith in Madison County law enforcement? They do as they want with no regard to the rule of law.

These Madison Coppers will continue to abuse and commit egregious illegal acts while working under Harwood because the bottom line is they are dirty cops.-CH
