That’s right, everyone. Madison County has three sheriffs, and taxpayers are covering the cost. Robin Lyles touched on this in his interview this week. Van Duncan, Sheriff Two: $136,940 a year – Greg Christopher, Sheriff Three: $92,229. Both men make more than Harwood; they do not live here or pay taxes here. If you are an honorable former sheriff, then why would you work for the unhonorable Buddy Harwood?
