Sorry, folks, for the delay, but I have a big story in the works at the moment, which includes Michael Garrison, Harwood, and Phillips confiscating guns unlawfully and not returning them to their owners after dismissed traffic stops.

How many of these guns ended up at the BBQ joint and Unicoi County? Since when is Madison County’s sheriff’s department allowed to confiscate guns in a minor traffic stop?

Additionally, there are significant issues at DSS, with multiple employees having left, and the Emergency Management department is experiencing staffing problems. There are no environmental health inspectors in Madison County at the moment, so dine at your own risk. 

Little Ivy Church is at the center of a potential Federal discrimination lawsuit, which will involve Madison County Commissioners Rod Honeycutt and County Attorney Donnie Laws.

Additionally, the Madison County Government is again failing to provide budget and salary public records promptly. Their budget has numerous discrepancies, which necessitate reconciling these records.

But are we surprised?

The Madison County administration’s budget increased, while the budgets of other departments decreased. Don’t forget it was the Mandy Bradley scheme to divert Federal grant money away from the cleanup of Madison Waterways.

After this story was published, the County had to pay up and clear the waterways. Is this why they are refusing to produce these records? NC requires these records to be available to the public to review. What are they hiding, folks? We plan to get started this weekend with the skinning of this onion and much more.

 
However, there is also good news regarding French Broad’s contracted tree-cutting service, Southern Woods. I will get into this also.

Congratulations to the Madison County public, who stood up to the religious Zealots on the commissioner board and forced them to back off the takeover of the Madison Health Department.
